Apex'i Turbo Timer (H22a4)
Anyone using an Apex'i Turbo timer on their lude? i need help figuring out how to install this thing... it says that you need a manufacturer's wire harness but of course there isnt one available.. I need help figuring out this install.. Any info you guys can offer would be grealy appreciated. Thanks !!
I'm running one on my 94 civic but I would imagine that honda didn't change much on their ignition switch wiring.
You'll need a volt meter to find the three wires the timer wants to tap into. Just gain access to the ignition wires coming out of the switch and start testing them with the key in the different positions.
It's pretty easy really. Also, if you are using the A/F meter which actually works pretty well you'll need to tap into the ecu's ground and O2 wire. It's best to use a manual of some sort to find those wires.
Do you already have the timer? The instructions point the way pretty well. If you don't have the instructions you can down load them from apex's web site.

thanks.. i have the instructions, just wasnt sure what wires in the ignition i should tap... i guess i was hoping someone could help me find the easy way out and avoid having to test the different wires.. no biggie.. will just have to sit there this weekend with the light tester..

i don't think u set up the timer correctly
or it is possible that your a/f ratio is out of ranged cause eithe ryour o2 sensor is malfunctioning or it is detecing a very very lean condition
