Apex VS Greddy?
Hi, I have a 94 Civic EX Coupe(d16z6), and I´m thinking to upgrade it with a Turbo kit.
I´m looking for the Greddy TD40H-15G or the Apex 705-H001 Turbo Kit.
Performance on both seems to be good, but im not sure which one is best.
help please?

although I have no direct experience with it, the Apex looks really really well put together.
But, you cant go wrong with the GReddy system either.

apex gives your a ball bearing turbo, greddy doesn't

all i know is you'll run 15's with it or faster
also, i smoked a sohc hatch with greddy turbo and intercooler
with my stock gsr, cold winter nite too i ran 15.0 with it.

apex also cost a lot more compare to greddy.. if you are plannin on rebuilding the engine then i guess go for the apex and boost high and have fun... but if not, i would rather go with a smaller turbo that spools really fast.
Ball bearing i$ better until the turbo need$ a rebuild. Yeah, it'll $pool a little fa$ter, it will co$t alot more when the turbo ha$ to be taken apart. How much are the two kit$ in compari$on?

For the money on your car i would tell you just to swap in a B18C motor.. you will be faster with that motor stock then turboing your motor on moderate boost. Plus its much less of a hassle and is alot more reliable.. And if u want to go faster after that and go turbo the possiblilties are endless..

i second an engine swap.
like i said before, i burnt a turbo sohc with my stock gsr.

even with a b16 u'll be just as fast those are only 2k

And I've "burnt" an assload of modded GS-R's, Si's and a yes, couple hybrids in my SOHC Turbo on mild boost... it's all about the driver
