none. if done right its the best feeling in the world
my only and most important piece of advice. well two pieces
DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, dont cheap out. by quality parts and take your time installing everything
BUILD IT FOR YOURSELF dont let others tell you how to build your car... advice on what turbo to use, etc is all good. but dont let them TELL you what to do. the whole part of building a car is personal taste.

every 1987 DX Civic in town trying to street race me

Whats funny is nobody would even rev at my 4dr EF (boosted), but always tried to race my EG coupe (stock NA). People would **** their pants when the 4dr took off, then noticed I still had power windows when I'd slow down to give them **** (no weight reduction in the least).
My only regrets are not doing it sooner, and taking so much time. But 90% of my time was doing things right. I can't complain, as I had zero problems from day one.
Do it right, or not at all!

I was perfectly comfortable even in an EF w/all power options, but spent less on the entire car than I'd have spent to lease any of those cars for a year. Not to mention of all those listed, I *have* taken from a dig...with an EF 4-door. Its b/h/k series that feel like dumping cash down the drain.
