Default all motor to boost??

well im currently running a fully built b18c1. it isnt running that great, and notmaking the power it should. to fix this im gonna have to pull the engine apart and rebuild with new pistons. i got a quote from someone for 4100$ USD. thats for new pistons, sleeves,IM,header, intake, and full tuning. and this is for about 220whp. but if im gona waste this much money again on this car. i figure i might as well go boost and make some real power.

my question is, what should i do about cams?? im currently running crower stage2. so those will be to much overlap im sure. so should i shell out and get some turbo cams. or just go back to the stock cams??

Stock cams will be fine, GSR cams are good for boost, the darkside is good.

Sell the Crowers and put the money from them towards your turbo setup. I was tuning a B16 turbo w/ gsr cams this wekend and I was very impressed by the car.

GSR cams in a boosted application=

Richard Holdener made sick power on some skunk2 stage 2 cams and a sleeved B18C1. Here's what you should do. Run them in your setup, dyno it, and datalog it, let us compare it to a stock cam dyno. If you don't like it, a cam swap is a couple hour affair.

well i still have my stock cams. so thats not a big deal to put them in. since ill have to tear apart the motor to build it anyway. and i cant see the crowers makin good power with that much overlap in them. i suppose i could dial it all with the cam gears. but thats gonna make my timing looked fucked up. mainly i was wondering if aftermarket turbo cams would make that much more power over stock, to justify spending another bunch of money on cams?? if im only gonna gain 5hp by adding cams. then i dont think its worth it.
