Default Adding A/C to a 99/00 SI with a turbonetics blower

I was told that it could be done and that I may need to get a different turbo manifold?

I called the local shop here in NC and was told that I could either get a full race manifold (full-race.com) which would cost a good $1200.00 or I could also get a cast iron blox manifold.

Not real excited about throwing something ugly in there but I aint trying to spend $1200.

I also found this. Damn nice looking and cheap.
Dont know if this is what I need though...

Im sorry if this is a stupid question, but Im new to the import scene..

Appreciate any insight or links!

ugh, i can only handle soo many SSAC threads in one day...

Just a heads up, stay as FAR away from that ebay manifold as possible... TRUST ME

And a good suggestion, there are LOTS of suppliers on here that would be glad to help you out with the manifold hunt... Take a look in the classifieds or the marketplace....

good luck

thanks TD. Yeah actually a number of items came up when I searched ' civic turbo manifold' but i would think that there must be a particular type for what it is that im trying to do..

The item in the link I posted really doesnt seem like junk? Plus hes local which is kind of nice... Dude apparently fabs them himself (isnt just a retailer)

There are also some OBX manifolds on ebay, dont know if those would be any better?

btw what does the ss stand for in ssac?

btterminator <------ dumb newb.

thanks again bro

the item you posted IS JUNK.... local or not, just trust me...
before someone comes on here with a story about how theirs lasted longer then a month, but for 1 that might make it, there are 10-15 that wont...

Mine had to be welded once a week at least, I bought one 4 years ago now...
the runner that holds on the wastegate actually CRACKED off and the wastegate fell to the ground...
Why not spend alittle more money for the sense of security, knowing that if you are away from home, you wont be trapped somewheres...
And when its all said and done, you would have to either buy another one of those **** manifolds (which you wouldnt) or shell out money for a new one, and you are gonna be out the money either way.... Just save up

The stuff he sells is garbage.. its well known in the turbo world...
basically I just bought a manifold for my setup that was more expensive then his entire Kit...

"You get what you pay for"
i know you are new to Forced Induction, but trust me on this, those are words to live by...

wow so youre familiar with that actual seller. I know generic stuff of ebay sucks 99% of the time.

just by looking it seems like a quality piece- show worthy even.

wish i could find a polished manifold for less than $600- would hate to put a cast iron one in there...

im def. going to take your word for it as far as the one in the link...
is it just that its poorly welded. either way i dont see myself sending him any money lol...

im not necessarily new to FI, have been driving a 450whp eaton powered cobra for the last year... with a mortgage i dont need a $350 car payment each month..

from what i gather turbonetics only made one setup for 99/00 Si's, the car should be making around 220whp at 5 psi- i believe this kit is capable of making 15psi, so if i build the bottom end the skys the limit lol. i may be biased but theres no denying that with traction a 400whp civic will walk a ported eaton cobra
