Default 96 chassis, 95 intercooler piping

i have a greddy SOHC kit, that will soon be going in my 96 CX. I have installed the same kit on a del sol before and liked the driveability and power increase.

my question is.

my car does not have a hole by the air box for the charge pipe to go through the frame. (i think it might be bc I have a CX) soo… do i cut a 4" or so hole in the car, or change my charge pipe to be like the ones that go over the transmission, then around to the intercooler?

cut it and run it like this:

or get new pipes and run it like this:

its your choice really, there's no real difference either way.

and there's no hole because only the ex and si have the hole for the resonator.

The less bends you can get away with the better, but for the intake side its not a huge deal. Since you already have one style of piping, I think it would be easiest to cut the hole.

I would cut the hole as well. I'm not a huge fan on going right over the tranny housing because more than likely you won't be able to use your front engine mounts (torque mounts).
