Most definitely, this will sound like a very, very preliminary question, however I am looking to not mess anything up, thus advice from those who have had past experience is invaluable

I have a Garett T3/T04E and a 5-bolt flange.

How do I attach the flange to the turbo? As I understand, I weld my downpipe to the flange, and then attach the flange. Do I bolt it in? Also, as for the Tial external wastegate piping, I have a 1" hole in my flange that I made to vent for the external gate, so I just weld a small pipe to that hole, then attach it to the Tial, and then just run a longer pipe to vent it away... under the car, outside the car, whatever.

Hopefully, that made sense... and someone could help me out, as to how I attach the 5 bolt flange to the turbo. Bolts or studs?
