300 whp /w JRSC

Is it possible to get 300 whp out of the JRSC?

Not untill the intercooler is made. If it works, which I hope it does work out for the SC guys. 12psi non intercooled is not good.

if your motor was built, you had a 11lb pulley, had they correct fuel management/tuning, and sprayed a 50 shot, you would be close to that figure......but why would you want to? it would be risky and probably not cost effective......especially if your just "trying to be different"

GSR +12psi + intake + quality header + no exhaust/cat + 25shot wet + clutch = 320hp/260tq. Stock everything else. Been there, done that, ran a 11.2@123mph in a Civic on slicks with that.

But, if you want it reliable, I'd highly recommend pistons, rods, and a management system like Hondata.

That much boost on a M62 would be problematic without an intercooler of some kind (NOS).

i was thinking about it once and if i had a JRSC i would do the ENDYN upgrade for 9lbs of boost, of course the JRSC intercooler when it comes out, header w/ a 2.5" collector, high flow cat, and apex N1 exhaust.. and CAI... that set up could be around 275hp i think if the intercooler works out nice..

some dude in toronto is running an ITR with JRSC, built bottom, 100shot, and is running like 350whp

but what happens when you run out of Nitrous (it's not like you spray everytime at WOT)? That's a draw back of pully driven boost. I say DRAG baby, DRAG!

Your HP may not be that high, but you can generate a huge amount of torque accross a wider range than most turbo kits making 300 whp that's for sure. For a drag race car that wouldn't do, but for the street, a broad range torque band is much more usuable, that a car making only 300 whp, unless of course you drive your car from 7-8k all the time.

autocrossing/road racing...torque is god

well, for honda/acura's it is...too much is bad...but if you have good tires, its hard to have too much torque

Re: 300 whp /w JRSC (TypeRgirly)

I'd rather have 150 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels from 3-7k than 120 from 3-5, and 170 from 5-7k. Even if the later makes more HP, the torque in the previous is better used for a daily driver and autox, and really that large surge is what creates traction problems.
