205hp at 8psi? dyno sheet look
Does this look normal? vtec engages and it dips then climbs gradually.... this was at t3/04b 8psi and hondata s200b and spooling perfromance manifold combo, still stock civic exhaust...
i was thinking maybe 220-230 as is...... dyno graph looks allmost like an N/A setup
its alittle dirty never had time to clean it since the install...

can anyone see what i maybe missing or how i can improve on this besides bigger exhaust

that exhaust is absolutely killing you,i wouldnt be surprised if you went and ran open downpipe just to see and it would get rid of that dip and you'd make 30+ whp more...
yeah i knew that the exhuast was gonna rob me of some hp's but didn't knoe that it would rob that much hp and cause the vtec to dip..... how big of a difference is 2.5 vs 3 inch exhaust matted to a 2.5 dp? even if the dip was gone it would look as if it was a N/A dyno because i don't see a sudden change in power
well like i said earlier. who tuned your car ? if you notice where the vtec dip is the AFR's go way low. possilble the transition isnt smooht. another issue might be vtec not engaging properly due to low oil pressure ( do you ahve an oil pressure gauge?) it can be a tuning issue also.
if you got the stock civic 1 7/8 exhaust taht will DEFINATLEY hurt breathability . lastly, the t3to4B turbos are kinda acient technology compared to the new t3t4e's which have a better wheel design. etcc.

the broken lines in your graph could be due to misfiring...my brother's graph had some breaks in it like yours and the tuner said it was misfiring....so we put in colder plugs and no more broken lines. Gained 3whp too.
I have similar effect on my GSR. I thought it's due to a small turbo (I have t3 45 trim which is terribly small). I'm upgrading but also I'm worried I have misfire.
How do I make sure my ignition system is doing well?

yeah i think he cleaned it up alittle, the tuner is Mark same guy who tunes Mike Crawford's mopar neon. The turbo was rebuilt and had an upgrade.... i'm using 2step colder plugs NGK BKR7E, driving the car feels fine as if nothings wrong. i get a cell code 1 for o2 when i get on it. reset it and its gone until i get on it again.. but when on the dyno it never came on at all and that was after several pulls atleast 6-9 pulls or so

Yea mark isnt known for getting detailed with your average street car. Hell clean up the afr a little and thats it. There are much better tuners in this area.

I agree...the t3/t04b is sorta old school. But i think you should still be making more power. I say take it to someone who will take their time and give you a detailed tune

i would have to say that exhaust is restricting you big time. i raced my cousin with a gsr hatch all motor (both of us pretty much stock) and i killed him just because he was still running his stock civic exhaust. the thing sounded nasty too
you should attempt to get a msd setup too. maybe colder plugs as mentioned as well.
btw, what kind of ic is that?

Damn that looks like a crappy tune. Did he even try moving the VTEC point to smooth it out? You probably need to raise the RPM for VTEC engagement.

agrre'd w/ the rainsing vtec engagement...find the sweet spot w/ no torque loss...
and speakin of a stock exhuast...
on my setup if i keep it plumb'd thru the stock exh...full boost comes in about 1000 rpm later...and you def feel the power loss....open up the dp and the car is completly different...tears the tires off thru 3rd....stock exh i have to push 15psi to even get them to think about lettin loose....
also no need for an upgarded ignition...stock will suffice up to 400whp....just make sure you have good plugs, wires, dizzy cap & rotor...and youll be a.o.k

I agree with everyone else, especially if it is stock exhaust and stock cat. That is really hurting you and like everyone else said, get a better tuner that will spend time with your car and get it running perfect. The key to a reliable streetable boosted honda is a good tune. You could have the best parts and a shitty tune then your engine goes kaboom. Hopefully you get a nice exhaust and a good tune, then you will be happy with your numbers!!
1) Lean out your af from 4500-6000.
2) Raise vtec to about 5300 and go from there.
3) I've put out 260whp on a bone stock gsr at 9psi of boost with a HORRIBLE crush pipped 2.5" exhaust using a 60ar comp .63 ar t3. In your case I would say the exhaust and cat is holding you back from about 20-30whp.
I bet your ignition timing is pretty damn low as well. That or there is something wrong with your engine.

the ic is one from one of the hondatech sponsors lsdmotorsports the size is 27x9x3 bar & plate its under 200 shipped...... ill get my exhuast redone.. should i go 3 or will 2.5 do? haven't done any compression checks but motors been running great no problems when n/a.... as far as the cat is concern what would you guys recommend?

definitly the exhaust. if you want mark to tune, tell him you want a thorough tune, he tries to get you in and out without spending all of your $ if possible. My friend dynod his similar setup there a month and a half ago and made 253/177 on his gsr turbo, 9lbs, hondata, sc34, 2.5" dp and 2.35" exhaust, with 109 deg ambient air temp.
yeah maybe thats why i get a cell for the o2 sometimes all the exhaust is gathering up trying to squeeze thru the bottle neck...... if the cost for a 3 inch setup same as a 2.5 inch setup which would you choose if you were aiming for 230-280?
