Will the Proefi CAN gauge work with an EMS4?
I just picked up a 99 Civic that has an AEM EMS4 installed. There do not seem to be any more mods done to the car. I'm hoping that the ECU will allow me to lean it out some for better mileage getting to work, but thats down the road before I'll mess with that. Anyway, I'd like to put some kind of nice graphical gauge in the car like a CAN gauge that Proefi sells. Does anyone know if this will work? Its a little on the expensive side, but the AEM Datastream gauge seems kinda dull. There is one from Rush Racing that I found on youtube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWF9jGwrlxE) but it says it only work with Series 1 and Series 2 AEM. If it works on those two, why wouldnt it work for the EMS 4? Are there any other nice options out there?
Thanks

I would say check the AEM site and see if they have anything you can use. If not, call and pose your questions to them.
Ok, so the AEM Datastream gauge will not work as it only accepts serial data and the EMS4 only supplies CAN data. The Rush Racing Development gauge will not work either as it also only accepts serial data. They said they are working on a CAN version but nothing out yet. The Proefi CAN gauge seems to be the only option that isnt astronomical in price and its almost 800 bucks.
