Whats up with these two ECU's? Pics inside...
Okay, I have two ECU's, one that was bought and supposedly "chipped" before i got it, the p28, and the second ECU is a JDM p30 that is in unknown condition, but due to markings inside of it I believe something has been modified.
Obviously the square ecu w/ the knock board is the p30, the rectangular one is the p28.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

The p30 is stock with a factory 28 pin eprom soldered directly to the board. Some honda ecus came like this....
The pictured p28 is a socketed/chipped ecu with an aftermarket chip/program.

Which would it be easier to install Hondata s300 into?
I'm going to be using one of these two for my high compression b16 build, and would like to save as much time and money as possible seeing as my build is already coming up near the 5k marker...
The only major thing to consider is that the p28 supports PWM boost control.
your P28 is missing a few capacitors on the chip section, I'd suggest installing them if you're having trouble tuning. Actually they're like 10 cents, just install them anyway.
*edit* and yes that P30 chip is definitely stock.
