No there is not. The ecu is mapped for a different engine with more displacement & larger cams, therefor you will see no benefit.

How about with a B18C5? Need some sort of adapter, right? Would prefer to not cut the OEM harness and would also want to be BAR/CARB-legal What about the immobilizer?

You need an '00 - '01 ECU with the immobilizer removed and replaced with a dummy unit, it plugs right in, no need for an adapter harness or cutting splicing, earlier ECUs lack the immobilizer but they require either a conversion harness (wont pass bar) or cutting and splicing ECU plugs.

I've heard of guys leaving the immobilizer in and pinning/taping a key under the steering column, too. Can most tuners remove the immobilizer? Someone reputable would be awesome. I'm gonna need to do a rebuild on my EM1 soon and thinking to do a relatively vanilla B18C5, at least to start, of course.

You can if you don't mind pulling the dash harness out of the donor car the ECU came from and can get the key and key ring from said car, you'll then need to separate the wiring for the key ring and transplant it into your car (remember your car didn't come factory equipped with an immobilizer so it doesn't have the stuff there to start with)

PM H-T user Katman, he used to do them for about $100. I don't know of anyone else that does it.

That's right, duh. Great info, thanks! Would the Dash harness from any DC2 (not just ITR) work? If I used, say a GSR for those misc parts, would I be able to get that key/chip... synced, I guess you'd say, with the immobilizer in a P73 ECU? I can see the guy at the Acura stealership giving me the hairy eyeball if I came in with an ECU and a key and asked 'em to make it work. :D

Course, that sounds much easier (and cheaper)... unless he's not doing it anymore. Thanks!

I think you can, but you'll have to get it programed at a honda dealer and that's more money again.
