Timing Light Question

Default Timing Light Question

I need to adjust my timing but since I relocated my battery to the trunk, my (+) and (-) cables from the timing light will not reach all the way back there.

If I used another battery from another car to power it, will that throw off anything?

fusebox, starter, alternator, etc... gives you 12v required. any ground on the engine is suffice.
