Ok lets say on the day i had the car tuned my spark plug gap was different than what honda recommended for the h22; And lets say when I replaced my plugs I gapped it to what was recomended would that by any chance mess up my tune? I'm asking cuz i'm getting horrible gas mileage and trying to figure out what could be the cause.

Re: spark plug gap and tuning question
It won't mess up the tune if the gap isn't that far off.

Usually you won't see any ill effects with plug gap unless you go to the extremes on the gap with a stockish motor.

Re: spark plug gap and tuning question
Stockish motor, probably not a big deal as stated, turbo/super charged motor is a different story. Explain what you have for better answers. Also, you didnt change the plug to a different plug part number also at the same time as changing the gap, did you?

Ok here goes, it's a jdm h22 all stock. before the tune(last year) I think I just threw a brand new g-power in there without touching the gap. Now I replaced my plugs with v-power with a .044" gap 2 month ago and ever since gas mileage has been shitty.

Drastic weather change that the car wasnt tuned or compensated correctly for? I wouldnt see the gas mileage being much more than 1-2mpg different than before the plug change.
