Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
I have a socketed ECU and am using Flash N Burn to read my chip now so that I can open it up in Chrome and edit some stuff. When I read chip to save it then open in Chrome, I get an error saying "Can't load file." Am I doing something wrong? What should be done correctly?

Re: Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
Maybe your program wasnt made in Crome originally...

I know it was for a fact though..

Re: Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
Make sure you have the OFFSETS set correctly...
Chip Start - 008000 Chip End - 00FFFF Buffer Start - 000000 Buffer End - 007FFF And of course make sure you have the correct chip selected... |
Re: Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
Those were correct.. still didn't work..

Re: Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
Well, if you have a blank chip, here is what I'd do:
1. Put chip in your burner. 2. Click erase chip. 3. Click blank check. Make sure chip is blank. 4. Click load file to buffer and load a file from Crome. 5. Click write buffer to chip. 6. Click verify. Make sure that it says that it was verified. 7. Now, click read chip. 8. Click save buffer to file. Name the file and save. 9. Try to open that file in Crome. If it opens no problem, you have an issue with the read of that chip and it probably IS NOT Crome or it's corrupted. |
Re: Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
You probably have an outdated version of Crome. I get the same error when I try using Crome 1.2 to read a ROM that was made with Crome 1.5.

Re: Moates Flash N Burn + Chrome
I got everything to work finally.. I'm running into another little annoyance though. Randomly driving around town, my AFRs will shoot to 10.0 and sometimes shut the car off when I'm decelerating to a red light/stop sign. It's not every time I drive the car though. Sometimes it can do it 1-2 times in 20 minutes of driving, sometimes it won't happen. Has anybody encountered this problem before or have any clue as to what it could be? I'm stumped as well as everybody I know that is into Hondas.
