Icon4 Manually shift automatic with tuner on PCM

I am looking for a way to manually shift a 2012 Honda Ridgeline. (I know, please laugh, then help) haha.

Are there any tuners that can add manual shifting options, or simply prevent the 5-speed transmission from shifting into 5th?

I really need this for towing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Surely this is a super simple thing to do in the honda tuner world, just not something that many people think about.

Lots of people tow with Ridgelines and do not require manual shifting. The truth is that no tuning companies have committed resources for transmission control in your chassis because there is no demand for it. Unless you have the skills to develop the programming and sub-system communication, I suspect you are out of luck.

can you point to a specific scenario where the shift logic will select 5th gear when it shouldn't?

I don't always agree with the gear selected by the transmission in our Odyssey but a stab at the throttle pedal usually takes care of it.

side note: if you haven't already, I strongly recommend upgrading the trans cooler to a larger one since you plan to tow. A good after market one twice the size of stock is about $50.
