Ok I need a tuner by Saturday morning close to Northern WI, My car needs the launch control removed. I have pulled the Bin file but it wont open in crome , hondata, neptune , ectune , and have no idea what program was used, I was told crome pro but I dunno any more.

The bin file is 32kb like it should be but it wont open.

I know they aren't eCtune tuners, but National Muffler in Milwaukee is another tuning facility in Wisconsin...if you can get the BIN and email it to me, I can removed the launch and email it back.

Well Dale,

I'm willing to bet that it was the dealer version of crome pro or Crome Pro Gold (which I also have a copy of). explains why you can't open it. If i was you I would try to datalog first before you rule out what software it was tuned with. It it works with freelog then it's crome or uber, if you can datalog with ECtune then there is your answer.

If ya need a datalogger device to figure this out, lmk I have a new bluetooth one that you can datalog on the any droid.

Another thing you can do is open it in your favorite HEX editor and compare to other bin's to see what the what is, if you know what program it was tuned with you can find the launch control in the HEX and change it manually, you would need to know the address for this. Make 2 identical files in crome and change ONLY the launch control and see what the .bin looks like then. I have plenty of chips, so we don't need to try to flash over the current one if things got funky.

Let me know, I am still surprised that you haven't had me tackle this, why drive to Madison for something I can do in house? Or better yet, why don't you re-tune with a knock sensor? I am willing to bet your IAT and ECT multipliers are off like 90% of other basemaps..... Either way, LMK

However if Xenocron is willing to remove it for you, send it to him. It would save headache...

Ectune Dealer? Or Crome Gold? Little confused as to which one you ment..

I have a copy of Crome Dealer if that's what you needed, either way you should let me rip that chip and check it out, there is one thing I want you to do first

DATALOG!!

Or we could just tune it with crome pro.... I just helped the other Matt tune his car (which is pretty much the same build as you) so we have a good starting point
