Ok so here is where I'm at, I have the H23a Vtec in a 96 accord ex running on a obd1 p13. I have everything wired up but I forgot to put in the knock sensor in the shop so we put it in my drive way and could only get it fairly tight with a small ratchet. But we took it for a drive and it threw the code after about 5 minutes of driving but ran fine before it threw the code, I also used my stock f22b1 ecu and ran fine but vtec wasn't working or it was but around 3500 because it doesn't look for the knock sensor. I was wondering if the torque of the sensor was extremely important. I was wondering if the ignition timing could throw the knock code because I haven't had time to do it yet. If that is not possible then I guess I'm going to try another knock sensor because I got this one fairly cheap. Any people with this experience and had a solution or even lead me in the right direction would be great.
