hondata questions??
I was going to buy a 94 civic with a b18b swap. T60 turbo, hondata s100. The guy told me that there was a fuel cut at 8psi due to the s100 not being enough to handle to turbo and that it needed the s300 to stop the fuel cut problem. I need to know if that is even a possible reason for the fuel cut because I would really hate to spend this money and it be more of a deal to fix. Thanx
That is incorrect. S100 can handle what ever amount of boost you want to run as long as the ecu/map sensor/fuel system is tuned for it.
Your "fuel cut" at 8 psi is a boost cut which is there to prevent over boosting. This "fuel cut" was likely placed on the s100 tune for safety precautions.
The stock map sensor maxes out at around 11 psi. You should always stay around 9-10 psi on this sensor and have a boost cut at around 11 psi for safety reasons.
Find a local hondata tuner & consult with them for a re-tune on an aftermarket map sensor such as the hondata 4 bar: http://www.phearable.net/shoppingcar...ries-p-65.html

Wen the guy was showing me how the cut was happening, the boost would hit 8psi and it would shut off and he would flip the key and it was right back running. Is this the result of wat u are explaining to me?
Take the car to an authorized hondata dealer & have it tuned.
