Default help required with a p30 ecu

i was planning on chipping a p30 with the moates demon that i have with me. but going through all the info available and kinda stuck with this, since different website give you different instruction since some say to just solder the smd 373 latch and jump j1. while others inform you to solder some other parts.

this information is from the hondata website would this be ideal one to do:

Socketing a new ECU:

1. Take the ECU circuit board out the ECU case.
2. De-solder IC4, install and solder on the 20 pin 373 latch.
3. Install and solder a jumper across J1 on the back of the ECU.
4. De-solder IC3.
5. De-solder CN2.
6. Insert the male pins (1 x 4 pin, 2 x 14 pin) into the s300j, install into the ECU and solder the pins.
7. Remove J4
8. Replace the large capacitor in C27 with the supplied capacitor

should i follow the above information?

the capacitor provided to me is a 220uf 25v is this the right one?

You got the SMD kit with it? It doesn't come with that standard.

If so, yes, it's the standard JDM SMD install process. You can use the socket or solder the pins directly in. It fits better with the pins soldered directly in if you still have your knock board.

The main cap is not a necessity. If you have the replacement part feel free to replace it as well. The replacement looks different from the stock one.

If you bought the NepTune RTP package, you should have received a software key. I haven't received an email from you about this. If you just bought the Demon alone ($249), you don't yet own a software license for it.
