I reacently bought a 96 accord lx 2 2l and kept having to adjust the valves when i noticed to bolts that hold the rocker arm assembly down were broke off inside the head. So i tried ez outs and they just broke so i replaced the head itself. Bought new intake, exhaust, and head gaskets but qhen i start the car it smokes white smoke really bad and doesnt ever go away. Also when i try to accelerate its boggs and loses power. What can it be ive taken yhe head off 5 times to check everything out and still dont know what the problem is.

 

White smoke is coolant or water
Headgasket isn't sealing
Have u had the head checked for straight ness

 

Ive bought two heads and took to machine shop and they both are good the only thing i can think of now is the pins that sit in the block are to long creating a gap

 

definitely headgasket leaking. are you reusing the headgasket? dont. also, are you torquing the head in the proper sequence, stages, and to proper torque spec at each stage with a torque wrench?
