Default CEL code 0, car drives fine

I have a '92 eg6 it is obd1. I followed the steps to reset the ecu and now when I check for a code the cel is solid. I know that it means the ecu is bad but my car drives fine with no issues. Vtec seems to engage as well. Is it safe to continue driving it? What might the issue be?

if the cel is normally off, and when you jump the service connector the cel comes on and stays solid, that means you have no codes and all is good.
if the cel is normally on, but the cel shuts off and stays off when you jump the service connector, that is code zero
