B20 swapped 91 integra ecu
Recently got a b20 swapped 91 gs integra, owner did nothing to the ecu, just plopped the engine in. It has a stock obd0 ecu and seems to need an o2 sensor and a iacv sensor/plug. Would it be best to convert to obd1 and tune, or stay in obd0 and tune? What kind of o2 sensor+iacv sensor would I need in either case?
How would you tune it using an OBD-0 ECU ? You can use a single wire O2 sensor if it is mounted on the front of the header close to the cylinder head. You will need a 4-wire O2 sensor if you mount it at the back end of the header behind the oil pan. IACV sensor works very similar regardless of what year engine it comes from. Distributors are different from OBD-0 to OBD-1/2... so if you are OBD-0 now and intend to convert to OBD-1 for a tuning solution, you will need an OBD-1 or OBD-2A or B distributor as well. The only differences between these is the distributor plug and whether that plug has a tach signal wire in it or not. Any can be properly wired for your application.
