Default Aem ems v1

Hey guys I want to get as much Information as I can read about aem ems v1 I seen aem no longer has tech support and that's fine I just want to know pin outs/in. just trying to figure out if it's worth it to buy a tru boost or if I can get the Ecu to control that.

Hey,

all the manuals are still online. and the V1 is still very usable and powerful.

Look at the ecu code, this will determine the pin out and plugs ,

aka obd1, obd2a obd2b .


running boost control from aem straight works great. i purchased seperate boost solenoid and run the control from the

Dont buy a TruBoost, Just hook up a solenoid to the box. Reference the pinout to the boc you have and locate PW2

My is a 94 prelude and I have a 30-1040 box in it I'm pretty sure I hook to c7 and c10 to make it work right

If your just using a Mac Valve or any 2wire solenoid... Hook one wire from the solenoid to a switched 12 and the other wire of the Solenoid to C10 on your 1040. This is how I hooked mine up and it worked great.
I absolutely love the aem v1. I think the v2 has better control over boost. But I much prefer the AEMPro Software over any other system I have ever worked with.

I love the aem series 1. It may be old but I'm making 555hp on 18psi with it.
