AEM ems fuel injector question?
Ok so I have a bnib aem ems v2 for my s2k and I was wondering if like other stand alones you can run either or high impedence and low impedence injectors and change it in the ecu rather than running inline resistance?

Re: AEM ems fuel injector question?
If you run low impedance injectors you must run an injector driver/resistor box.

Re: AEM ems fuel injector question?
There should be a option in the program, but no need if u buy high impedence , better over all performance with them , less wiring , and more voltage options for map and ect I think pls correct me if I am wrong. But its all about what u got in store or planned for the tune/ car!
2 me drives for injectors is old fashion.but like they say if it's not broke ...... Well you know! Just one less thing to worrie over ! If it's not there who knows you ever had or needed it! |
Re: AEM ems fuel injector question?
The V2 AEM still does not have any low impedance injector drivers on board. It only has saturated outputs. In order to run P&H injectors you would have to install a peak & hold driver box/circuit.

I agree that a chipped Honda ECU with a resistor box isn't exactly the best setup for low impedance injectors. If you want to get the best performance from a low impedance injector you need a dedicated circuit that drives them. That is why companies make peak and hold injector drivers. Why do you say that it is old fashion? |
