Default Reuse or Replace B18C1 Main Bolts?

I'm currently gathering the parts needed for rebuilding my GSR motor before sending it out to a shop, and I was just wondering if it would be worth it to drop $100 on new OEM main bolts? I have heard that you could reuse the original bolts as long as they haven't stretched, but would it be beneficial to replace them regardless? I have not been able to check if they have stretched.

Unless your current main bolts are fairly new/low mileage, I would get new ones.

If it's a stock/mostly stock/mild NA build that hasn't already been torn apart several times, you're very likely just fine. If you do decide to replace, an ARP main stud kit is only $110 - only downside being you'll need to check and possibly line hone with the studs.

Self edit: just use OEM and skip the headaches lol

Although this is the first time my B18C1 had ever been pulled apart, it's getting forged internals for a mild boost application. The problem with ARP main studs (from what I've read) is the difference in torque spec warrants the need for a line bore, which is something I wish to avoid due to cost and it being pretty overkill/unnecessary.

Edit - I happened to respond right after your edit LOL. Yes it seems OEM is the way to go.

Yeah align boring the main caps is mandatory when going with the ARP's increased torque spec. Recently did this to my B16 as I was getting a 3 point girdle installed in addition to the main bolts.

I'm planning on revving to 9K though and will be at ~350whp so figured it'd be good insurance.
