Default Need some expert advice

I have a type r head I got from a friend of mine the head was given to me and was told it was a paperweight because of some damage to inside due to rocker rod (or whatever technical name for it is ) got stuck and some idiots tried to pry it out I need to know if it's a lost cause or if it's fine btw I got it in peices and all the rockers are mixed up but I have everything to put it back together any helpful advice would be appreciated in advance

If this is the only damage, then it is not a paper weight at all. Simply file/machine the surface flat and remove any aluminum flash protruding inside the oil rail channel bore. Then create a shim/spacer to take up the missing material so as to keep the rocker arm in it's proper location. If you are unable to create a shim to spec, find something that works and machine away the damaged area enough to accommodate the shim/spacer you intend to use. Oh, and make sure you clean up that cam journal in the pics as well... you don't want any problems there either.

Thanks for the response that's what I thought I think machine shop just didn't wanna touch it I guess idk but I flat filed the rocker portion and it feels smooth and the rockers function smoothly in it
