H22 P2V clearance check
Hey HT
Doing the assembly on my engine right now. I've completed the v2v check and now proceeding with the p2v check. I'll be using the dial indicator method to check this. Based on recent research, is the minimum clearance specs 0.050" for the Intake and 0.100" for the exhaust? Or can I run with a tighter setup?
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks

Steel rods I presume? Add clearance for aluminum rods due to stretch.
I think .050" is safe for both intake and exhaust PTV clearance.
I've read about some builders going as close as .035" but I think at that point max RPM and rod stretch become more of a factor.
Another interesting topic kinda related to PTV clearance is "quench distance".
