I'm rebuilding my F22B1 and I bought Hasting Piston Rings, the top and second compression rings are the same thickness, but one is wider than the other. It didn't say which ones were the top and which were the second rings. I assumed the wider rings were the second rings, since that seems like how they normally are. Also the wider rings have a dimple indicating that as the up direction, the other rings don't have any marks. Do I assume the wider rings are the second compression rings? Normally they are marked, but not this time.

 

Hastings rings come packaged with first second and third rings wrapped in paper and each of the three ring package is marked and has instructions which groove and direction they go in.

 

These did not, they were just separated in a box but weren't labeled. I found the Honda FSM where it showed the second ring had a grove and the top one didn't, so I was able to figure which one was which.
