I can find the bore/stroke etc... info for all the engines all day long- but how physically large is a D15 engine when removed from the car? I'm likely driving several hundred miles this weekend to pick up a good condition one for cheap, and am trying to decide if I can squeeze it in the back of a Toyota Sienna minivan with half of the backseat folded down, or if I need to take the Astro van. Does anybody have the external dimensions of one of these bad boys?

 

It should fit in the mini-van.

 

I don't have dimensions, but I have put a D-series long block in the trunk of my 97 Accord and was able to close the trunk lid. I just pulled the false floor and spare tire and put those in the back seat.

 

Put one in the back of an Ef hatch years ago. Didn’t even have to put the seats down if I remember correctly. Well, maybe I did... I can’t remember... was always stoned back then... bah
