Im new to hondatech but ive been lurking and grabbing info for about a year now i bought my em1 off my brothee last year and blew it up... im in the process of a b20 vtec now but noticed scoring on a cam journal is my head junk??

 

Generally speaking, If it catches with a fingernail its too deep.
That being said, it might be best to take it to a machine shop and let them see it in person.

 

Based on the pictures I would consider it trash. I've seen scoring lighter than that, that I would refuse to work with.

 

Yep, let that one go... it will never be right. Anything can be fixed, but it just isn't worth the cost in this case.
