lets see ls1 car pics
thanks for pics , someone please post more, and j swaps just kinda seam dumb, they take up to much room and dont like the cut hoods.Plus the aluminium ls1 has very litle weight difference than the ka motor, my buddy had a 240 stock ls1 swap ran 11.20 with 1.72 60. I figured i could probably pull low 10's out of a ls2 with shaved heads new cams and full top end on a 100 shot, and still slide it sideways

I dunno. It seems like blasphemy to take out the fantastic engines these cars have to put in a Chevy engine. I mean, Mazda sells blocks to make your own R26B engines that have over 700 HP NA and a SR or RB family engine probably makes more sense in a 240.
Just my opinion though.

Although a v8 rx7 is damn quick with a stock ls1/lsx etc.

Ls's are great motors, and the corvette chassis imo just make them shine even more. Chevy has come a long way with the ls....way better than the lt's and previous v8s. What r u guys doing about engine management in the 240/fc/350z?
THE LS PLATFORM HAS SO MUCH SUPPORT FOR PARTS YOU CAN BUILD THE MOTOR A MILLION DIFF WAYS. THE TQ THE OUT PUT IS INSANE EVEN IN ALL MOTOR FORMS. WHEN BOOSTED YOU DO NOT EVEN NEED ALOT TO GET THE CAR TO INSANE HP AND TQ LEVELS, LESS WEAR AND TEAR ON THE TURBOS AND RELATED HARDWARE

Have a couple friends that have LS1/LS6 FC and FD rx7s. They move very well. Simple bolt-ons motors making 450whp/470wtq and with 150 shot my buddy FC has a best time of 9,82@142 car has suspension issues needs to be sorted out a bit.
