Wow nice cars guys. It seams Drift has gotten hot in North America now. About as hot as Rally in Europe. Could it be said the two sports are cousins? IS that how drift got its start? Maybe someone needs to start a thread on the history of the two? That would be cool.

Someone said it. Lexus and infiniti make them. They're the CLOSEST you'll get to their japanese counterparts. Y'all talking about the Cressida (of course) and IS300 GS300/400/430. But what about the big body LS400?! The G35/37 is a good pick, but what about the big Q45?!
They're cheap, plentiful, and probably in good condition cuz most people who own them bought em new, kept them in good condition and never did any racing with them WHATSOEVER. All they need are ATM (auto-to-manual) tranny swaps, some brake & suspension work, maybe a body kit to go with the rims to get that real VIP look, and some freshening up, and you got a big body 4dr that's original cuz NOBOBY does much racing with them! Plus they both have 32 valve V8's that can be twin turbo'd or built for N/A power. Unless you HAVE TO swap a smaller Inline 6 in it to be more like Japan. AND they can be bought at a junkyard FOR CHEAP if one ever blowsor if you need parts! And what about BMW?! Y'all forgetting the 3 & 5 Series? The 97-01 7 Series trannies have been swapped for M3 manuals...and running on tracks (not a lot of course). If you got the bread, do it! I WOULD!! |
