Ok guys we run the racing events down at Farmington dragway in Farmington NC and would like to know your thoughts about coming to 1 race that we setup for next season at a 1/4 mile track. Rules will be NHRA safety rules-10.00 index,11.00 index, True Street, Super Street, Street Fighter, All motor, Car show. Would like to know your thoughts on coming to the race and who would like to come to ZMAX. Payouts will be similar or larger than WCF.

 

HELL YEA!! I would go definetly

 

Keep the race at the farm, don't fix what isn't broken. Take the rediculous amount of money it takes to rent a place like ZMAX and use it to raise the payouts at the farm.

 

Lucas thanks for your thoughts, but it is time to push forward to expand our abilities for the sport. Farmington is great but we have to make bigger changes at a bigger track.

I would go. Zmax is much closer for me.

 

Definately worth the trip. We would have been at the last race if we could have gotten the car together.

 

I'll go to Zmax, Piedmont, The Farm, Rockingham, etc. to support the sport and keep the dying scene (which is on its deathbed) alive.
I use to drive 2-3hrs to Nopi in the early 2000's, miss those days.

 

Its all in the works Lucas, we dont wanna leave anyone out. Trying to get all thoughts from all styles of imports cause we know the domestics want some good competition.

 

we'll be there. only thing that sucks is that place is like a drag racing stadium so even a crowd like whats at honda day wouldnt look packed haha.

We really enjoyed racing at the Farm, only thing sketchy was the short run out haha.

Great idea. Just wondering how hard its goiing to be to pull off considering IFO had planned an event there this year and that idea got yanked.

I agree with this guy. The Farmington events actually inspired me to put my hatch back together to come and compete. We all need to try and support something we love before it dies out and goes into the history books. These events are awesome and will drive traffic for sure and spark interest in the ones who love it.

 

It's obvious I'm down, Craig. Whether it be The Rock, Z-Max, or the Farm. I just wanna race and go watch racing.

I do worry though about a lot of money being lost though. As positive as I generally am I'm not %100 sure the scene can really support something like that around here. But, none the less I'm hopeful that it'll work out.

Just be careful on making too many classes, it's already hard to fill the fast classes as it is.

 

Yeah, we gonna try to bring in some heavy hitters though

 

We didn't go to Zmax because they would never send us the booking contract. We waited for several months. The date was eventually filled with another venue that actually came through.

The down pour/rain out with lakes in the pits at our Rockingham event had nothing to do with Zmax being taken off our schedule. There's no need for you to post misinformation about us while plugging your own events.

 

I'd love to race at Zmax. I would travel for that opportunity.

 

4 wide would be sick, to bad it won't happen.

 

Not sure about 4 wide, cost double for track prep. But racing in the nicest facility in the world- priceless
