i doubt it but i know everyone from alabama and ga would go to an event there im sure. I know i would, its about a 6 hr drive hauling a car for me.

in this area, (to me) the sport compact has gone down, boti use to be held at Rockingham, NC but not no more. think phantasmusa still does it but only quick 8 class no all motor class. i think this will really bring it back. rlz and i think about 2 others is located about 15mins away from track. in my opinion i say it would be a successful.
i think it would be risky trying to hold an event there, that track is stunning but it looks like it would be crazy expensive to hold an event there. it would take us about 6 hours to make the drive down, which means it would be a 10-12 hr trip for miller and you other ny/nj boys. also ive been down there before and it seemed like the only cars on the road were camaros and trucks.....it is after all a nascar town....

we were damn near in the car on the way to head to the big nhra race there. the place looks insane. i'd def. make the trip to race there just for the experience if nothing else haha
Had to give those images a double take. Thought they were photos at first.
I want something to come to Bristol. Enough cars built for SFWD (one hot rod that I know of off hand) around here to make a nice field if others came.

I went to the NHRA event down there, its a super nice track. Actually, there are two tracks, side by side.
I'd love to see a well organized race set up for that track. I think it would end up having a pretty decent turn out.

i would be willing to try to get some kind of an event up. yea its gonna be really hard but i think it can be done with the proper resources and ppl. and maybe im wrong but it would be awesome for something to happen. so im game
People would come out of the woodwork to race there i think..
We do sponsor 4 or 5 races at rockingham each year, the turnout is never that great b/c rockingham has really gone down hill, they never prep the track well for us. The last Streetwars at the rock had about 60 cars running not really any spectators at all, everyone was expecting rain that day.
An event there would be awesome, everyone wants to run there.

..Does anyone know why they only use the track on the left. I did see that one powerade series that they held there, and there wasn't even burnout marks on that one side yet. in for more info

im pretty sure that the side you are talking about. does not even have the tree put up or even ready to be ran on. i may be wrong. i don't think they have tested on it either. i heard that they are going to tear up the track and install some type of heating/cooling system to regulate track temp. if im correct.
yeah but when they get it prepped, if a side oils down you could immediately switch to the other.
Ripping up a track thats not even 6 months old for a cooling system that was invented before the track was started under construction would be retarded.
