Where's Adam Saruwatari?
Does any body know where Adam Saruwatari is doing now? Last time I seen him in the scene, was pomona of 2004. Is he full time farmer now? I would like to see that man out on the track again!
notice how the red car and adams car have similiar shapes...wonder why..
they both have done about the same thing for the industry......take money from many companies and do absolutly nothing in return...

Everyone always says that he screwed up the Honda sponsorships, but what are you basing that on and how do you know that Honda wasn't happy with what he did? If the contract was only for a year, how is he screwing the rest of us by not racing today?
I think most of you don't understand how sponsorships work. His car sitting on the cover of ONE magazine does more for Honda than 99% of us could do for Honda racing for them for an entire year.
Honda still puts money into drag racing today. They didn't come out with a GM type budget plan, but honestly who does!!? Go build a GM-like $300,000 ProFWD 07 Civic for next year with a REAL 1600hp K series engine program and GM trans and I'm sure Honda will toss a little support your way

Thats bullshit that alot of people put down Adam for what he's done. I know he didnt come out strong at all with the new car, but do you think the team built it and let it sit there 2 days before the race and not try at all.
To point fingers at the A&L team for screwing up Honda, is insane. There's plenty of other teams and drivers the past few years that have not performed the best for their sponsors, but that doesnt deserve a kick in the ***.
For every team that has done good for their sponsors, theres others that didnt do so well, but thats racing. Only a few can be on top. Not every single car and team will get 1st place.
For where he was at in the growing times of the scene, he's done alot. He deserves credit for his efforts.
haters.

he hasnt done **** since the rx7....
he spent and spent and spent on transport for his personal cars to be at event..he had 2 semi-carriers to bring his hummer and other personal car and 1 for his nsx.
i cant think of 1 event he has taken with any car since the rx7...i may be wrong but honda was alot more ready to help out a few big racers back in the day till his flop with the rx7 and the new si platform adam had them betting on.
return investment is the name of the game for sponsership.he returned very little...

I can name dozens more teams and racers that got a good amt of money and didnt do anything at all. At least we know about the Civic and the NSX. We're still talking about it til today right.
Theres some teams out there that got money and didnt even get on the track and or finish the car.

Out of all the present Honda drag racers , who actually has a sponsorship with Honda? No pro rwd, no pro fwd, no hot rod, no modified, no sport fwd.Maybe I am missing someone.I'm talking about a sponsorship deal sort of like what Kenny Tran has with Scion.Toyota is putting money toward our sport why doesn't Honda!
How did he screw up honda sponsorships? also was anyone ever been sponsored by honda in import drag history? cause i can't even name one.
none the less, he did a lot for the import drag scene by always stepping it up. i mean for a long time his RX-7 had full interior and glass while people were still gutted and full lexan windows

The only reason i think they've never done it is just because honda's have such a strong hold on the import drag scene, they don't need a fully sponsored car to get more people to use honda's drag racing

that weasel RJ devera comes to mind with this statement. his RSX that never saw any track time. i believe he showed it at SEMA one year. the same year that adam showed his drag EP3.

Adam has been building SEMA cars for Honda for quite some time now
Honda has not been dissapointed with their sponsorship dollars as far as Mr Saruwatari is concerned. He is now focusing on his family's farm full-time and last year's (05) Englishtown was his 'retirement' party from drag racing so to speak.
He does still have a wheel contract as well... and Nitto and Oakley have also stayed on board with Adam's Sema cars for quite some time now... while a lot of people sit back and run their mouths, the sponsors he works with have ultimately been satisfied with their money and investments
I wish he'd still race the NSX full time as well, John Concialdi and his guys sure had that motor making power... but unfortunately that's not in the cards right now
