Re: what slick size
How do you not know how much power you are making? Either way you should def run 13's. What is your setup consist of?

Re: what slick size
I'm gonna say your making some where in the 300s. the 23x8x13 or the 23x7.5x15 will work for you.

Did you experiment with different tire pressures?
What rpm are you launching at?
How much boost are you making off the line?
What engine management?
You said "oem" tranny...which one? (you didnt state what engine)
How was the track prep?

Alot of questions still need to be answered here. Often times, your slick size will not dictate a lowsy 60 ft, so dont be quick to say that they're "like ****", until you've gone thru all the variables. Give us more info, im willing to bet the problem is in your setup, and not the slick (unless they're COMPLETELY worn out).

Re: what slick size
i've always seen great improvement buy going to a 13" wheel over a 15" on the smaller slick sizes. as exospeed said, the 23x8x13's are a great slick. i cut 1.7x's all day with 350whp and an open diff

Re: what slick size
i ran a 22" on my ls/vtec bolt on crx and ran 1.8 60ft and 13.3. make sure you do a burnout in 2nd to warm up the slicks. launch around 7k and make sure your slip the clutch. that did the trick for me. GL

Was that the first time you ran the 22's? And how was the track prep that day? How long of a burnout, and what gear?

Re: what slick size
ive just used slicks for the first time , not so easy to get good tires here in the UK . got my hands on a set of mickey thompson 22.8.15. running 396hp at the crank. and 60 ft was 1.9, didnt get much chance to change pressures , had them at 14psi.

not sure what size tyre i should be running for my power either ,alot of people had 13" at the track but ive got big brakes so wont fit.

too high of a tire pressure, you should drop it down to at least 10psi to as low as 8psi. dont go too low on that tire. they tend to look super flat and ride on the rim if too low of a tire pressure.
