nitrous if great for the price, but it is kinda dangerous if your not careful. I sprayed a 50 shot for a while, but then one time my bottle heater relay broke and the bottle got alittle to hot and then this happen............

in the winter you need a bottle heater, but if its warm out you should be alright. Your bottle pressure should be around 900 to 1100. your bottle heater keeps it in that range.

down: things change with temperature/pressure.. makes nos kinda hard to tune and dangerous. Keep and eye on your sparkplugs and an ear on your engine...
but a 50 dry (or 55 zex) is not much to worry about if you do your homework - KEEP LOOKING AT THE PLUGS.
up: EASY power

A little off topic, but I may sell my NOS Noszle kit if anyone is interested. This is the kit that has the nozzle that goes into the intake manifold and the injector goes on top( basically direct port w/o having to drill).
Nitrous is probably one of the safest forms of making hp. If you purchase a kit from any reliable nitrous manufacturer you can be guaranteed of the following:
1. They know the limits of the engine
2. The system comes with jetting that requires no tuning
3. You can easily install the system in a day and as easily remove it
4. You will not sacrifice drive-ability
If you read the instructions provided with the kit and use the recommended jetting you can be guaranteed trouble free performance for a very long time.
I would recommend a dry system for your application. A B16 is fuel injected and the induction system was not designed to flow fuel. Since fuel is an alien substance to the intake manifold it runs the possibility of puddling in the plenum causing uneven fuel distribution. A dry system injects nitrous in the plenum, fuel is added via the fuel injectors, a pressure safety switch monitors fuel pressure and prevents the solenoids from activating unless the adequate pressure is present.
A B16 can easily handle 50-60hp. You should always run your bottle pressure between 900-950. as the pressure in the bottle increases it's density decrease and anything over 1000psi is inconsistent and slightly unstable. most Pro Mods I work with run 900psi tune ups.
I would also recommend a bottle heater, a bottle's ambient pressure is 750psi and as you consume nitrous a bottle heater can help maintain a more consistent pressure.
If you have any questions feel free and e-mail me. I have over 8 years of experience with nitrous oxide injection. My teacher was Mike Thermos, maybe you've heard of him......
