my setup makes 370hp car is 1950LB im running 24.5 tire looking to run a 26inch tire so i dont have to take my trans apart to change the final drive my 4th gear tops out at 114 at 9200rpms with 24.5 i dont like going into 5th gear
im running a quafi gear set 1st 2.462///2nd 1.813///3rd 1.500///4th 1.250///5th 1.045 final drive is 4.75
if i put a 26inch tire my 4th gear will go to 130 if i rev it out to 10K

looking for input if the size of the tire will brake the trans?
or will it hurt my 60ft from it boggin of the line

i dont have the time slip in front of me but when i know my 8th mile im at100mph and i traped 120 in 5th gear my 60 foot is 1.630

 

id stick with 24.5s

 

sell that gear set to a roadrace guy and buy some mfactory gears that better suit your needs those ratios kinda suck for a drag car

 

Alex just change the final drive. I went almost 120 mph, when the car weighed 2100 pounds with over 100 less whp. (with the quiafe stuff)
