Hey guys, I have a black CRX with no a/c and in the summer it gets real hot and i am thinking of getting tinted windows to keep some of the heat out. Thinking of just the rear hatch glass and the 2 side windws in the back, NO windshield and not the windows that roll up and down. I am planning to go pretty dark too.

Is this okay to use at the track or is it unsafe for any reason? I usually go to englishtown if it makes a differece. Thanks

 

my old si had 5%tint and they never said anything about it
so u should be ok

 

We have tint on our windows and have never been questioned.

 

Tint is ok as long as you dont go an spray black paint on the windows.

 

i have 20% on the hatch and 2 rear quarter windows, none up front i think youll be all right.

 

im pretty sure i read in the nhra rule book that state rules apply towards tent

mine is tinted all the way around(except front windshield)no problems so far.a friend of mines ef has all windows tinted including the windshield and no problems so far.

The Focus had tinted windows and the only problem I remember was that Shawn said it was hard to see out of at night with his helmet on. Otherwise legal I would think!

 

Nhra rules says championship or head -up cars must have clear windows. You can go to NHRA web site and go to general rules and I think it is section 7:8
