Default Surge Tank?

I was browsing through some pages and came across this...

http://toyotaperformance.com/surge_tank.htm

Does this offer any advantages in a drag racing application? I understand that its most used in road courses/autoX but wanted to see if anyone here runs it...

I think the main advantage of the surge tank is so that the fuel pump is not starved when the car is under body roll. A drag car shouldn't really need it but id rather use that then a sump. I can't see any downsides to it at all.
