We are presently running the gsr transmission with some 24.5x9x13 slick. We arrive in the cut off of fourth gear a the end of the quarter mile with the rev limit to 8800.

We're wondering what would be the best to improved our 60 feet time ans trap speed without raising the cut off ???

possible combination :

24.5x9x13 + sir tranny and shifting 5 gear ?
26.5x8x15 + gsr tranny and stay in 4 ?
28x9x14 with sir or gsr tranny ?
28x9.5x15 with sir or gsr tranny ?
28x10.5x15 with sir tranny ?

any advice will be appreciate

the second option, you arent making enough power to run the 28's and with the 28's you will start to break alot more parts.

 

we're only boosting 22 psi so power is not a problem.

Even if it was, would like to do thing correctly and not have to change slick and mag again next year.

 

what's your current 60'?

we're using options 2 right now...staying in 4th up to 8800rpm with a mid 1.6 60'

 

best 60 feet 1.58 on a sticky day but normally it`s arround 1.65
