Default Slick size question

There was another thread on the size of slicks for a BUILT all motor engine but what about a near stock GS-R engine, for example?

And say I'm using a 13" x 8" wheel (Lensos in particular). What slick height would anyone recommend using for a 93 CX hatch with GS-R? Anyone have experience?

Thanks.

I'll search for an answer in the meantime. But 22" it is. Thanks.

M&H Racemaster Slicks are the most popular slicks for the import drag crowd. They have plenty of sizes available for our application.

Okay... I just found it. Thanks.

So how are these compared to Mickey Thompson or other brands?

IMO, The M&H's are the only way to go. Killer customer service and great slicks. They seem to never wear out and hook hard every time .

I also feel that the 22x8's are the way to go from 150 whp to 250 whp. Some will disagree but oh well.

Phil

I am going with the crowd on this one: 22x8x13's. And you can't go wrong with M&H slicks, John is the man. He signs every slick he sells

Just how long does it take to wear them down. Are the burnouts any of you do serious hell on them? But how often do any of you race per season... and in those races how many runs did you get.

Just at the local 1/8 mile track we'll typically get 2 or 3 trials... and since it's a musclecar type track... the sport compact class isn't big... so on average maybe 2 more runs during the heats. So I figure I'd get maybe 40-45 runs per year doing it this way with even more runs due to test and tunes. So it should easily last a year right?

Thanks.

Hi HondaBullSQ; Yes they will last a year and when you hit the 3- year mark it's time to change the slicks out.

Good Luck and HAPPY HOLIDAYS HondaBullSQ.

SlicksMH <---- Do you accept local pick ups, in order to zero out the shipping and handling fees? Also, do you charge taxes?
