Hey Fellas,
I have a set of MH Racemaster slicks (22x9x13) that i have raced on once with my old boosted LSV setup. I blew that motor and I'm building a small NA setup til I get my other boosted motor done. My question is do you think those slicks are too big for a NA car? I know it will make my "gears longer" for sure, but I dont know if that will cause for slower times over just running my street tires. I think they are overall 1" taller then my street tire size. Im looking for some insight into this by what you have used and seen work. Here is my setup for a reference.
82mm GSR block
GSR crank/rods
RS machine pr3 pistons (11.4 CR about)
B16 head w/ 01' Spec ITR cams on S2 pro gears
B16 tranny w/ LSD
RMF header
Yowai SS intake
Power output should be in the 200-205whp range im estimating. I know that will easily put my in the 13's, with goor driving and correct tire size mid 13's.
Thanks for your time

You have the slicks, go out and try them. With the HP you have the M&H 9/22-13 will be find.
Best of Luck!!

I think i might just do a trial and error on them and see how the car performs. If i feel like the top end is too long or holding me back i can make a change.
Great slicks BTW, never once had them slip.
EDIT: just remembered i have 23" slicks, not 22"
