Skunk2 Manifolds.....
Quick question for many of you:
What are the differences for a skunk2 manifold designed for a B16, to that of a skunk2 manifold designed for a b18c1?
The reason I ask, is that when guys run cams that rev higher, they go for the ITR manifold. The skunk2 is based on the ITR's design, although it claims more HP.
However, these are the part numbers:
B16A2 DOHC VTEC: 307-05-0290 (LIST price: $281.56)
B18C1 DOHC VTEC: 307-05-0270 (LIST price: $345.31)
B18C5 DOHC VTEC: 307-05-0290 (LIST price: $281.56)
The GSR piece is more expensive.....
So how are these manifolds different? I have the option of buying a brand new manifold for a B16A2, or a friend who can sell his manifold for a GSR for cheap.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

GSR\B16a manifolds are not interchangable...
Anyways, I alreayd got in a huge flame-war in the Hybrid forum on this subject, and I dont wanna re-hash...

ok, thats just the basic info i was looking for. So the gsr wont fit.
Although they're both designed for the PR-3 head, is there an actual difference on the manifold bettwen the SI and the Type-R ?

the Skunk manifold casting for both the P72 and PR3 heads are exactly the same. The only difference between the two are the bolt pattern, and the coolant passage. It costs skunk2 the same amount to drill either pattern, but skunk can charge more for the P72 since there is no alternative bolt on, like the B16 has with the R manifold.
In short, the P72 costs more not because it costs more to produce, but because it is "worth" more.
