So i wanna take my car to get a 10 point cgae put in it. Does anyone know about any rule changes. Looking to take the car to miller over the winter?

 

Only rule I can think of is that they have now made a rule on Thickness of bolts/nuts/bars for parachute mounting.

 

when i had my car re-cert'd they didnt even look at the chute mount.
if you are taking to miller, im pretty sure he knows what needs to be done.

 

From what I have heard from a NHRA tech guy they just set the rules in place for next season as a bunch of top fuel ones were breaking off. And believe it or not there was never a rule on how they had to be mounted/thickness.

 

the parachute stuff is not part of the cage. it is part of the "safety" rules, not the cage specs...unless you are a top fuel car, then like mentioned this year it will be part of the cage cert process.

 

I saw the other day that NHRA released the 2010 rules on the website. Didn't look at it yet to see if there was anything that affected us.
