Default Ran on the radials tonight

Well, tonight was my first time to the track this year in my quest to beat my old time of 11.88 @ 126 on drag radials. After sorting out a couple tuning bugs I managed a best of 11.90 @ 133.57 tonight. Other runs were 12.0 @ 132 and a 12.1 @ 133. This is still with a factory GSR open diff, non-speed dependant boost control and 225/50/15 BFG G-Force DR's. Once I get the boost control down low for the first 1/8mi things will be alot better and I still haven't done the "chassis tuning" I have been planing (no I'm not gutting it).

Let the season begin!

oh, damn you are back I knew i remembered reading about someone running 11.88 which is the fastest known time on radials for a fwd Honda. I figured i might as well shoot to break that record since i cant get close to jotech's 8.59.Looks like you and I are going to battle it out this year Good Luck!!! and may the best man win!!!

by the way, Nice MPH

Motomatrix; I like a little friendly challenge. Gives me something to shoot for.

I just checked the slip from last year and tonights 330' and 1/8mi times were both .2 sec slower than the 11.88 pass.

I'll have toights slip posted in the morning.

looks like it will be a 3way challenge too. Frank from SFP got a big sponsorship from BFG. he is looking to run 10's on DR's. I am just looking to run 11.5 or better than you he has already gone 139mph trap w/o any traction bars, soft street springs and welded diff. he weighs in at 2900 w/ driver. what do you weigh in at if you dont mind??

Haven't scaled the car yet, doing that next week. It's a full interior DX minus a/c lol.

Time to throw some 245's on the front of that thing...some sort of gear-based boost contorl would be awesome too....

Good Luck

lol, I've decided to pull back on my quest for fastest and quickest street driven FWD....With my budget this yer, I'm hoping for mid or low 12's on drag radials and high 11's on slicks.

Nitrous will be used if neccesary

Moto; just make sure those tires are radials, that's all that matters.

Still working on getting the slip posted (waiting on a friend to scan it). I also got a guy that might be hosting a video of some of the runs too!

I do need a taller tire, I was riding the rev limiter a little before the traps and going through them.

BFG? Moto, what tranny are you using with those 255-50-16?

Sounds like they might work well with my All-Motor.

225-50-15 are on backorder...

I am using an SI tranny. the car has gone 157mph at less than 9k on the dyno in 4th. thats plenty of room for me to trap in 4th. the car goes almost 120 in 3rd.

how is that? is it because of th tire size? my si tranny hits 8200rpm redline at about 130 in fourth!

tire size is the reason. the tires are 26 inches tall.

Stock SI tranny? Must be the wide 16' tires.

not the width, the height is what allows it to go so high in MPH.

Too bad they don't make a 245-45-15 or something along those lines.
