I blew one up over the summer at the track. I had some cooling issues from air in the system along with a 12 year old stock radiator, the two didn't mix well
how do u know it was his radiator? looks like his right slick blew out, causing him to go left and hit the wall, i really dont think blowing up a radiator would do that.

On our RWD Modified Celica. We would have issues like that due to a blown HeadGasket. Like some one said ealier....it pressurizes the system and blows fluid all over. Regular radiators are only rated for certain PSI.
So what we did to eliminate the problem was. Use an Intercooler for a radiator since intercoolers are rated for HI PSI. So now no more blown up or pregnant looking radiators.
One more thing...... It would be best to mount your overflow to the rear of the car(behind the rear wheels) So the extra coolant will drip behind all 4 wheels. We did that in our car as well.
