Re: (dturbocivic)

I thinks its more like $3500.

Jared 07-22-2007 05:49 PM

is liberty still 3950 for the gears plus 200 for the cuff?

HR-1320 07-22-2007 05:51 PM

Re: (Jared)

Yes and +$whatever for a spool if you don't have one. They make them too. And then 1750 for the bellhousing.

i guess i didnt "see" them, but that is just what i heard from various race teams.

not saying they arent stronger because they are, but nothing is unbreakable https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

What race teams? Lets see results. That is what this thread is about. I am all about the facts and almost bought a Liberty setup but opted to give RacerStev's treatment a try first. Time is money and if Liberty stuff is breaking, the I want to know not to purchase it. If it is not breaking like you say, then remove your post. We don't need any extra mis-information on the tranny subject.

I offer a treatment for your stock gearset that won't break the bank. It's a heat
treat that allows the teeth to flex a bit rather then just break off the gear. So far
it has helped on cars up to around 800hp.

So far I have only lost one 4th gear, it was on a 850hp Spfwd car. I never got the
gear back so I can't be sure if I treated a old abused gear that was ready to go or
we just found the limit of what the gear and treatment can hold.

Since this failure I've tweeked the process alittle to make the teeth stronger but not as tough.. Translation, a little more likely to break on the shift but less likely
to break under power..

Re: (RacerStev)

vouch for steve. did my gears and the 850 car he is talking about at the same time.

i will say this, the car he is talking about needs a set made by that other company and i dont think it was his process that did it. that car is just evil. i go to the dyno friday and should be stopping off in n.j. if nothing happens on the way home. for some shake down runs.

Re: (Blown90hatcH)

Anyone have info on the Gforce gears ? I checked there site, nothing on the b-series gears that fit in a stock case. I need to know what syncro's to buy to use with these gears. I have all up to 5/R... thats the only one i need and it seems to be a whole lot smaller than all the other oem b syncro's i have kicking around the shop.
I plan to call Gforce tomarrow, but just curious if anyone knew.. thanks.
