Default Quick Question about problem converting to obd1

I have a really dumb question and I trust the guys in the drag racing forum more then anything,

I bought a obd2a to obd1 conversion harness online and it turned out to be junk, the clips didnt fit right, the pins were falling out etc. I made the mistake of buying it off of ebay

I was planning on doing a turbo install on my car friday, and I dont have time to order one from boomslang, so I was wondering is it possible to go to the junk yard, and use the part of the harness that clips into the ecu to the shock tower from an obd1 car in order to convert my car to obd1?

Or will it require too much wiring? Im not a wiring expert I was wondering if it would be a plug and play? or am I short and going to just have to fork out another 100$ and wait?

you wont be able to extract your obd2 pins and use them in obd1 clips. they are differant. it can be done, but would probably take a good hour or 5

werd. You can solder on different pins if you want the clean look, but if you don't have the ETM....get the conversion harness from Rywire.com
